Hilton Hotels Corporation announced today that Alexander Mirza has been named to the newly-created position of senior v . p . of corporate development. Leveraging his significant Alex Mirza within both the corporate and consulting environments, he will be working company-wide on cool product development and partnerships, including food and beverage offerings, health clubs and spas, and others. Mirza is based at the Hilton Hotels Corporation World Headquarters in Beverly Hills and reports straight to Matthew J. Hart, president and chief operating officer.

Just before joining Hilton, Mirza was a senior executive within the travel and transportation practice at Accenture. Just before Accenture, Mirza was head of strategic planning at Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, where he was accountable for brand positioning, development planning and business innovation. Mirza started his career in the beginning Financial, Inc. and opened the very first U.S. office servicing corporate high net-worth clients. His consulting background includes a long period of project management experience with Deloitte/Braxton Associates within the regions of value-based management, growth strategy and globalization.

Mirza was subsequently a senior principal at Strategos, an innovation consultancy where he dealt with management teams within the luxury hospitality, travel, consumer and asset management industries in the parts of customer strategy, new product development and repair innovation.
